Cesar Cortes was a Bellaire senior when his life was taken one year ago, Thursday January 14. Yesterday afternoon, a group of students and staff led a virtual ceremony to honor his memory. This thoughtful and respectful event was another example of how Bellaire remains a strong and resilient school community made up of students, faculty, staff, alumni & families.

Instructional Method Choice Fourth Cycle
Several weeks ago, each family was asked to select either an in-person or remote/virtual learning setting for each of their children. We appreciate your attentiveness to this task as it enabled us to plan for the successful return of students to campus. The decision you made for Cycle 3 remains in place for this school year unless you communicate to us a change in your learning preference. The window to communicate any change for Cycle 4 opens today and runs through Friday, January 15. 2021.
If you plan to stay with your current learning setting, then you do NOT need to do anything else at this time.

Final Exams January 25-28
Final Exams will be held January 25 -28th. Bellaire’s exam schedule looks a little different than in years past. Students will personalize their schedules depending on their classes. Students are encouraged to use this Exam Builder Template to create their final exam schedule. Each teacher will post the day and time that their exam will be given on the landing page of their HUB. Final exams for the Core subject areas (English, Math, Science, and Social Studies) will either be given during a subject block in the afternoon or by individual period. Non-Core classes will be given during the period block in the morning.
A master exam schedule can be referenced here. Students can look up any teacher and their class period and locate the time and date of their exam. If any student finds that they have more than three finals on a given day, they are encouraged to reach out to their teachers as soon as possible.

9th Grade PGPs Sent to each Student's HISD Email Account
Bellaire Counselors met with students the week of November 16 to review their personal graduation plan and the graduation requirements. A Personal Graduation Plan (PGP) is a form that must be on file for every student. The PGP designates the endorsement the student is on, establishes post-high school goals, career interests and tracks grades throughout high school. Every 9th grade student will select the Multidisciplinary endorsement as a starting point. This means they will earn four credits of the core subjects- English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, including Algebra 2 and Chemistry or Physics/ Principles of Technology. More endorsements can be added later, depending on the choices students choose for their electives as they proceed through high school.
Once you have downloaded the form, completed it and signed it, it should be saved to your computer. The form can then be submitted through the link below.
***Can't sign your form electronically? Make sure you have downloaded and then opened it in Adobe Reader. You will not be able to sign the form in your browser window.

This year is extremely difficult, as the year started later than usual. Please contact all of the colleges and universities that are requesting this and inform them of this delay. We will be getting them the transcripts as soon as they become available.
