Upper School

Soccer 



The Cardinal Soccer team had 2 matches this past week. The first one was a district game vs Morris Jeff. The Cardinals came out on fire and averaged about 1 goal per minute of play for the first 5 minutes. The final score was 9-0.

After the Mt Carmel match was postponed for a few days due to weather, the two teams were able to get together for a fantastic match at Lafreniere Park. It was a back and forth game where momentum seemed to change regularly on a windy night. At the end of 80 minutes, no goals were scored by either team. Final score 0-0.

Basketball 

The Academy of the Sacred Heart basketball traveled to Academy of Our Lady last Thursday defeating the Penguins 44-27. Two players for the Cardinals turned in 17 points a piece, Libby F. ’26 and Leah V. ’26. Leah also had a team high 5 assists and 3 steals in the contest while Taylor R. ’25 chipped in 4 points and a team high in rebounds with 8. Lily V. ’27 had 4 points and also 3 steals. The Cardinals then played a home match against the Willow School the following day defeating Willow 53-24. Leah V. ’26 led the Cardinals in scoring with 20 points while also dishing out 7 assists. Libby F. ’26 was the second leading scorer with 15 points. Rosie V. ’28 chipped in 6 points while Bria E. ’25 had 4 points and a team high in rebounds with 10.
