Summer Training Opportunities for
Sacred Heart Student-Athletes
Sacred Heart Athletics is excited to offer strength and conditioning training this summer for our returning JV and Varsity student-athletes. We are committed to adhering to all rules as issued by the state of Louisiana and the LHSAA for summer sports activities.
Based on the current status of Louisiana’s reopening in Orleans Parish (Phase 1), summer activities at Sacred Heart may resume on Monday, June 8th under the following guidelines:
Summer activities are limited to groups of 10 or less (including coaches and trainers) in a single enclosed or outdoor location with adequate distancing between other groups. At each session, athletes will be checked in by a trainer or coach, and their temperature will be taken. If the temperature exceeds 100.4 degrees, the student will be asked to leave immediately.
Parents, please do not leave the area each day until your daughter has been cleared for activity. Once your daughter has been cleared, please leave as to reduce risk. Activities are limited to student-athletes, trainers and coaches. If you plan to carpool and one of the girls in your party has a temperature that exceeds 100.4 degrees, all girls in your party will be asked to leave the school.
With activity limited to groups of 10 or less, we are making strength and conditioning training available to fall sports only (Cross Country, Swimming, and Volleyball) beginning on June 8th. When Orleans Parish moves to Phase 2, we will open up summer activity to all sports programs.
If your daughter would like to participate in summer workouts, please fill out the required intent form. This information is necessary to place athletes in specific groups to limit exposure to other individuals.
