Dear Cardinal Families,

In years past, I always wrote about the first signs of fall at St. Rose of Lima School. I had great experiences as a child when I attended the St. Rose of Lima Halloween Festival. I have numerous stories that include the nuns running a costume contest, booths set up in an open field, filled with the hope of winning a toy or cake, and enjoying the freedom of running around the school property without a care in the world.

This year, instead of our traditional Halloween Festival, we will be planning a week of Halloween Festivities to keep our tradition alive but on a smaller scale, within our walls, and in the safety of our pods. Even though we remain hopeful with the progress we have experienced, we are not ready to assume a risk that would not allow us to continue our in-person instruction.

Thanks to my Middle School students, PTO and more community members ready to join us in our efforts, we have a new plan for Halloween. Here is what a potential schedule will look like the week of Halloween:

Tuition: October tuition has been posted and is due by the 1st and considered late after the 5th. Late payments will incur a $30 late fee. Please follow the link found in your most recent invoice on Sept. 29^th to submit your payment. If you are signed up for automatic draft withdrawal then your account will be drafted on Oct. 1st.

EZ EFT: It is not too late to sign up for automatic withdrawal. Just fill out the EZ EFT form and send in via email to registrar@stroselima.org. For check withdrawal, please take a snapshot of a VOIDED check and submit with your form. If drafting from a credit card a 2.5% fee will be added to your total due. 

Healthy Lunch Box: HLB has posted their October menu. Please make sure to log into your HLB account and place your child's lunch order. For October menu click on the right arrow next to your child's name. If you have any questions in regards to your HLB account, please contact their office at (281)444-8444. To sign up for a new account, click on Create an account. School code is 0104.
