A MESSAGE FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL
Dear Cardinal Families,
In years past, I always wrote about the first signs of fall at St. Rose of Lima School. I had great experiences as a child when I attended the St. Rose of Lima Halloween Festival. I have numerous stories that include the nuns running a costume contest, booths set up in an open field, filled with the hope of winning a toy or cake, and enjoying the freedom of running around the school property without a care in the world.
This year, instead of our traditional Halloween Festival, we will be planning a week of Halloween Festivities to keep our tradition alive but on a smaller scale, within our walls, and in the safety of our pods. Even though we remain hopeful with the progress we have experienced, we are not ready to assume a risk that would not allow us to continue our in-person instruction.
Thanks to my Middle School students, PTO and more community members ready to join us in our efforts, we have a new plan for Halloween. Here is what a potential schedule will look like the week of Halloween:
