A MESSAGE FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL

Dear Families,

Please give a warm welcome to our new counselor. Ms. Brownlee has joined our campus and is currently working on ZOOMING her lessons to the room. Her first lessons will be grade level appropriate and topics will include:

·        Dealing with COVID guidelines in school
·        Race, Equality, Respect, Diversity and Tolerance
·        Anxiety

Please continue reading for Ms. Brownlee's full biography:
Ms. Brownlee was born in St. Louis, MO and attended Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. She received her Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Special Education and went on to earn her Masters degree in community counseling. She has spent the last 13 years working with adults, children and families in various community mental health and private practice settings. She has a passion working with children and families and enjoys assisting youth in developing skills they need to be successful in the classroom and beyond.

Ms. Brownlee enjoys a variety of hobbies including exercising, reading, spending time with her family, writing, and coaching others. Her favorite thing to do is travel, with her most memorable vacations being Thailand and Spain. As a counselor with Catapult Learning, Ms. Brownlee looks forward to assisting students, parents, and teachers with the necessary skills to ensure student success in the classroom.

Ms. Brownlee will "zoom to the room" of each classroom every week. Her mission is to provide a safe place for self expression and skill building while practicing social distancing guidelines and mitigating risks by keeping sanitized, clean and having individualized supplies as needed for students.
Ms. Brownlee can be reached via email with any questions or concerns.

Welcome Ms. Brownlee!

Yours in Service,

Bernadette L. Drabek, M Ed.
