A LETTER FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents,
I have shared this quote with you before - My former boss, Archbishop Michael J. Miller, CSB, once eloquently wrote, “From the first moment, that a student sets foot in a Catholic school, he or she should have the impression of entering a new environment, one
illuminated by the light of faith,
having its
own unique characteristics
.”
As a school, we have been communicating in Open Houses and PTO Meetings that we anticipated tuition costs would increase for the 2020-2021 school year. After meeting with the Finance Advisory Committee this month, we discussed a number of options and settled on the current pricing in the registration packets which was passed along to
the School Advisory Committee.
Please note the registration opening date for returning students begins December 2. You will find more information below.
I hope you will keep this prayer in your heart as we move forward to an exciting future for St. Rose.
Heavenly father, let our Catholic schools illuminate the
light of faith
for all the world to see. Let each of our schools have
unique characteristics
that guide a
quality education
that
intertwines faith with reason.
Let our Catholic schools grow in numbers so we can have more
disciples of Christ
to serve for the greater good of God.
We ask this in Your name,
Amen.
God Bless,
Mrs. Drabek, MEd
Class of 1975

DID YOU KNOW?
A Message from SAC
Public Speaking is one of the most important skills our children learn. St. Rose of Lima School recognizes this and thus begins teaching and developing this skill as early as PK-3. This is done by incorporating the skills of public speaking into each and every day, beginning with morning assembly. During morning assembly children from grades K-8
th
are asked to speak in front of the entire school, administration and a number of parents as well as participate in a variety of different activities. Grades 3-8 take turns leading mass. They sing in the choir, read the readings and bring up the gifts in front of a large group of not only their peers and teachers but also other church community members. In addition, our children are learning this important life skill each and every day through Presentations, Projects and Show and Tell. If you have not had the opportunity, ask your student about these classroom activities or join us at morning assembly or mass to see these wonderful skills in action.
The 2017 Toastmasters World Champion of Public Speaking, Manoj Vasudevan said “ A person who is able to skillfully express himself or herself as an orator, especially early in life, is more likely to foster better friendships and relationships and build a larger network of collaborators.”
