A LETTER FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Dear Families,
Have you heard the word? We are
Taking Back Sundays! In an effort to bring families back to church after the summer break, we have come up with a fun idea to increase mass attendance. Each year, prior to the start of school, teachers gather for a week of in service. One afternoon, we began developing unique ways to refocus on Sundays – the best day of the week.
This past Sunday, we had the
Blessing of the Backpacks, hosted by the School Advisory Committee. The entire community was invited to get their backpacks blessed as we started a new school year. If you were not able to join us, we had Father Rafa bless all the backpacks, including Pre-K 3, the following Tuesday.
We came up with a few ideas for St. Rose of Lima School to host Sunday Mass. Each of these will be followed by a brief reception. They are intended to bring our community together through the Glory of God.
We hope you can join us on the following Sundays:
October 6, 2019 – Rosary and Mass (Beginning at 4 PM)
Host: St. Rose of Lima Parish
November 3, 2019: All Saints Mass
Host: St. Rose of Lima School

January 26, 2020: Catholic Schools Week Kick Off Mass

Join us for Mass, Pizza and Fun at the Fellowship Center to Follow!

As we conclude the first four weeks of school, we look forward to bringing everyone together both in church and school in the spirit of our community.
Hope to see you there,
