Cardinals Corner | Edition #16| December 12, 2019
A LETTER FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL

Dear Families,

Our mission at St. Rose of Lima is to lead students to their full potential through excellence in academics, arts, athletics, and service to the community. Partners of St. Rose of Lima guide us each day to reach this goal and build a stronger community.

I sincerely thank all of our partners, but this week hoped to highlight one partner that has been such a huge part of St. Rose this holiday season. St. Pius High School Band visited with us last week, showcasing to our Cardinals the best of advanced musical education. SPX AP Chemistry students (and St. Rose Alumni) then served as judges for our Middle School Science Fair. Finally, first graders were invited to their campus to indulge in a morning filled with stories, crafts and general holiday merriment.

This partnership is vital because I believe the strength of the surrounding community strengthens St. Rose overall. I love how a strong surrounding community can elevate our children’s experience and education, creating experiences outside of the classroom as well. Most of all, I am impressed by the level of maturity and the example with which these high school students lead.

As we continue our partnership with SPX through the future by expanding ancillary initiatives, community service projects, and “beyond classroom” experience, I am thankful.

Establishing a strong relationship with the surrounding community and the support of our school will help us achieve our vision: to create a community where everyone loves to learn, work, and serve. We are much obliged to our SPX Panthers for their continued friendship and collaboration.

Yours in Service,

Bernadette Drabek, MEd
Principal
Class of 1975

Students in grades Kinder through 5 th participated in the Hour Of Code this week.

If your child enjoyed this and would like to continue to code from home, go to http://www.protopage.com/stroseoflimaschool and click on their grade level tab.

They know how to log in from there! Happy Coding!
