A LETTER FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL
Dear Parents,
What an eventful week! We are always considering new and excellent ideas to bring families to campus. Sometimes, we begin with an idea and build on it. Other days, we begin with a need and work to fill that need. Either way, we are always focused on maintaining the family- based environment that St. Rose has enjoyed for decades.
Our days are hectic, but nothing is impossible. Wrapping up four events this week, we prepare for a host of holiday events intended to bring families together as partners in education. Veteran’s Day, Grandparent’s Day, Los Posadas, and Holiday Concerts are around the corner. Your presence on campus means SO much to the students.
Regardless of rain, shine or the cold front expected tomorrow, Middle School Lunch on the Lawn will go on as planned. We have loved seeing you. Thank you for braving the monsoon that was released upon us today. We look forward to the chill of tomorrow – perhaps we will serve hot cocoa to our participants. If it is too cold, it might become Lunch in the Library, but It will be fun!
One last announcement: As the dust has settled from the Halloween Festival, it appears the school will be writing a check to Faith in Action for the music room of the new Education Building. Stay tuned for the results…
Yours in service,
Bernadette Drabek, M.Ed.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPOTLIGHT
MS FOOD DRIVE
Dear Parents,
As Thanksgiving draws near, we are preparing to help the needy in our community by joining the St. Vincent De Paul food pantry and St. Rose parish in the annual "Giving Thanks" food drive.
Each year, classes are assigned items to donate to the drive. These items have been specified by the food pantry as those that they are in most need of. BETA club will coordinate the drive here at school.
The following is a list by grade level of items that we are asking families to donate.
Pre K 3- toothpaste, tooth brushes, dental floss, dishwashing liquid
Pre K 4- shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner, liquid hand soap
Kinder- Mayo, mustard, ketchup, salad dressing ( small plastic containers)
1st and 2nd - 1 pound of sugar, 1 pound of flour, salt, pepper, cold cereal
3rd, 4th, 5th - Canned beans (chili, baked, pinto black, etc.) , canned soup, canned spaghetti sauce, canned tomato sauce, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned meats
Middle School - Thanksgiving meal in a bag. Items are listed on the paper bag that was sent home.
The drive will begin this week and run until
November 20.
Each year the generosity of our families is overwhelming. Thank you in advance for your help with this service project.
