Care Counts in Crisis Statement
Dear National CCAA Member,

In this time of uncertainty for all, we must simply look out for each together. This certainly resonates with the mission of our organization, as well as our daily work with prospective students. Positive mental health and self-care are essential for everyone.

You may have received a call to endorse a statement entitled, "Care Counts in Crisis: College Admissions Deans Respond to COVID-19 ," created by the Making Caring Common Project at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In this statement, college admission leaders from around the world collectively recognize the impact that COVID-19 has had on prospective students, explain what they value in college applicants during this time, and emphasize care of both self and others. The National CCAA certainly embraces the statement as it reflects our values and purpose, as well as those of our member institutions.

We encourage you to participate in the endorsement of the statement if you have not already. MCC is asking for one signature (a senior admissions leader) from each institution. Click here to add your endorsement. If you have questions about the statement, please email [email protected] .

And, here is a friendly reminder:

As I mentioned in an email sent last week, we will be sending 2020-21 membership renewal information in August. Membership benefits will reflect our changing needs for recruiting students this year. If you have not completed our brief, 5-minute survey to share your thoughts on membership, please do so by Wednesday, July 15th . Thank you to those who have already completed the survey.

As always, let me or our Executive Director, Joyce Masek , know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your continued support of the National CCAA.

Best wishes,

 Tracy Manier
