Care Partner

Last week, IAHHC announced that FSSA and ISDH are providing an exception for informal caregiver training to help agencies cover care provided to DA Waiver participants.

To help you meet training needs, I have reworked a portion of my online Home Health Aide training course and have made it available for FREE and without obligation of any kind.

The resources can be accessed online for remote training of caregivers. You can let your learners work through the information in a self-paced way, or you can download the materials for use in a webinar training or other 'remote' instructor led training that you devise.

To access the resources:
  1. Visit http://thhtc.org
  2. Create an account (necessary to prevent the site from being overrun by bots and spam)
  3. Search for "informal" in the course search bar (near the bottom of the middle portion of the home page)
  4. Self-enroll
  5. Repeat for anyone that you want to have access to the resources - including caregivers that you want to train.
  6. Download the PDF training resources and access the training videos for any/all training topics as you desire.

I am continuing to add resources to this 'course' every day; if there is something specific that you need, please reach out and let me know.

If you have difficulty, please reach out to me at cj@thhtc.org.

I hope you find these resources helpful and that they ease the burden of training for you in this hectic time!
