Our goal is to create a safe space on campus for womxn of color to share life, have a voice, build relationships, and empower self-identified womxn of color.

NXT Industry Sessions: An Introduction to Careers in Entertainment

The NXT | Industry Sessions is a six-week, free, virtual course launching on October 23rd, designed to create and improve access to the media, sports, entertainment, and fashion industries. This self-paced course is designed to help prepare the next generation to take their first step in a career in the entertainment industry through pre-recorded sessions and industry content.

Students can enroll in this self led course, anytime before mid-November.
LA-Tech.org IT Academy Powered by Microsoft Application Spring 2024
Priority Deadline: December 15, 2023

This Spring, LA-Tech.org is partnering with Microsoft to host our Fourth LA Tech IT Career Academy, a hands-on, 160-hour career development course for up to 75 scholars from Los Angeles County. All Los Angeles Based-Youth Scholars (Ages 18-24) will receive compensation as part of their participation in the academy. Each scholar will participate in custom, creative work sessions, fireside chats and mentorship opportunities with seasoned operators from top tech companies in LA and beyond.

AYA has been instrumental in providing thousands of youth with the support, resources and role models needed to believe in their own abilities and achieve their full potential to become productive members of their communities – willing and able to give back.

Through our Adelante Mujer/Adelante Young Men Conferences, youth discover a roadmap to a successful future, as they learn firsthand about a variety of professions and how to attain a career in them. With this focus on education, the conferences encourage students to strive for higher learning – getting into and graduating from college.
STEP Intern, First-Year Student, Summer 2024

STEP (Student Training in Engineering Program) is an internship for first and second-year undergraduate students with a passion for computer science. The program provides developmental opportunities for students from groups historically underrepresented in tech through technical training and professional development.
Our unique internship offers the opportunity to work on a software project alongside other STEP interns and full-time Googlers, and provides the chance to bridge the gap between academics and practical professional experience.

Students who identify with a group that is historically underrepresented in the technology industry, including but not limited to women, Black, Latinx, Hispanic, Native American, students with disabilities, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.

2024 Henry Fuhrmann Multiplatform Editing Summer Internship
