A Note From Our President

It's the start of a new season! Foundation of HOPE graduates from middle school through college have started a new school year armed with the skills, confidence, and motivation to succeed, and it's all thanks to the support that YOU make possible.

I have the opportunity to speak with so many women about our Economic Development and Empowerment Program, and after almost every conversation, they say, "I wish I had a program like this when I was that age."

That response is exactly why I started the Foundation of HOPE - to give girls some of the resources that I didn't have growing up. We have had the incredible fortune to partner with extraordinary women and men from throughout the state of Maryland, pouring our collective experience, knowledge, and wisdom into the future female leaders of our community.

Because of your generosity - whether through donations, visits to our sessions, attending events, or simply cheering our girls on - we continue to grow and reach more and more young women every year. With construction on our HOPE Center beginning soon, more change and growth are around the corner, and we could not be more excited.

I hope you'll take a few moments to read an update on the impact of your support. On behalf of myself, the Foundation of HOPE Board of Directors, and all of our program participants, thank you. We could not fulfill our mission without you!

God Bless You,

Keasha Haythe, CEcD

Foundation of HOPE Founder and President

Excellence is not a gift, but a skill that takes practice.

Career Exploration!

The learning doesn't stop when our girls receive their certificates. On September 23rd, our 2026 cohort graduates headed to TidalHealth for Career Exploration, hosted by our amazing Board Chair, Dr. Trudy Hall.

The girls toured each department, including nursing, physicians, pharmacy, radiology, pulmonary/respiratory, and ancillary and supportive careers. They learned about the education required for each specialty, the local schools providing the necessary programs, and salaries.

The trip ended in the SIM lab, where the students had the opportunity to try surgical activities, ultrasounds, pediatric simulations, and more.

We are so grateful to TidalHealth, Dr. Hall, and all of our departmental tour guides. Our girls learned a great deal, and left inspired by the many potential career opportunities!

We look forward to many more Career Exploration trips in the future.

HOPE Center Update

We are thrilled to share that we are working with the Town of Easton on final changes so that we can receive the building permits for our HOPE Center project. The permits are expected to be issued over the next few weeks, and we anticipate shovels will be in the ground before the end of the year.

While we have faced some delays in the construction process, we are so appreciative of the contractors, architects, grantors, and agencies who have been so helpful in getting us to this point.

Very special thanks go out to the generous donors who are making this project possible. We can't wait to open our doors and watch our vision for the future of the Foundation of HOPE come to fruition!
