Entering adulthood, it can be hard to know what your next step should be! Youth ages 17 to 21 are invited to explore exciting careers in a 6-week, hands-on program at Northshore Technical Community College, presented in partnership with Tri-Parish Works. Participants* will earn incentives and network with employers, NTCC faculty, and like-minded peers. Topics will include:

• Automotive
• HVAC
• Electrical Technology
• Maritime
• Welding
• Mechatronics 
• ....and more!

Named after former Louisiana Governor Mike J. Foster, the MJ Foster Promise Program is a new $10.5 million annual state fund that will provide financial support for students to earn credentials that align to high-demand jobs in growing industry sectors like Construction, Healthcare, Information Technology, Transportation & Logistics, and Manufacturing. This includes students pursuing associates degrees, a technical certificate, or HiSET/high school equivalency (WorkreadyU).
