ICCA CONTRACTOR SPOTLIGHT: RYAN FIREPROTECTION
Meet Ryan Fireprotection, one of the thousands of contractors who hire skilled tradesmen and women from the Indiana Careers in Construction Association apprenticeship programs.

Their product line includes a wide variety of fire protection products including fire sprinkler systems of all types, clean agent systems, fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers. Ryan custom designs, fabricates and installs each of their systems. Working alongside the design community, Ryan Fireprotection's design and engineering professionals provide design assist, design advise, design build and building information modeling.   Once systems are installed, Ryan works with their customers to create an inspection, testing and maintenance program to fit their needs so that they can rest assured their systems are in proper working order protecting lives and property. Ryan's team works to protect facilities in a variety of industries, including Hospitality, Office Space, K – 12 Education and Universities, Factories and Industrial, Hazardous Facilities, Hospitals, Assisted Living, Nursing Homes, Prisons and Reformatories, Mercantile, Multi-Family and Storage Warehousing.
An important part of Ryan’s business model relies on the training provided by the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee managed with Sprinkler Fitters Local 669. When unfriendly fires and explosions happen, Ryan Fireprotection's systems must perform to save lives and property. It is imperative that these systems be designed, fabricated and installed by highly qualified and trained professionals having first hand knowledge of how fire protection systems perform under some of the worst conditions.

Employment as a Fire Sprinkler Fabricator or Installer is not just a job. It is a professional career. From the first day on the job, individuals never stop learning. As an added benefit, these career minded individuals advance through the apprenticeship program to become journeymen. As Journeymen, they become the instructors and trainers for the next generation and can use the training they received to apply towards a college degree -- kind of like getting paid to go to college.
