Connecting with Career Services
The mission of Career Services is to support and empower students and alumni in developing, evaluating, and effectively implementing their career plans. In collaboration with faculty, staff, employers, and community partners, Career Services provides a variety of resources to prepare students and alumni to become career-ready professionals.
Dear Goodwin Graduates...
First of all, we would like to welcome all of you who recently completed your programs and who have met your graduation requirements to the status of GRADUATE. We are very very proud of you! When we think of Graduate, and those of you who will be graduating since we are so career oriented, let's show you the following:

G = GRIT – You have Guts, Resiliency, Integrity, Tenacity
R = RESOLVE – You will resolve to continue to learn and grow as you build your skills
A = ADAPT – You will be agile and adapt to changes within your work setting
D = DETERMINATION – You will show your resilience and be part of the solution
U = UNDERSTANDING – You will provide support for all of those who ask for your assistance
A = ALUMNUS – As an alum of GU, you may contact Career Services for advice and support
T = TEAM PLAYER – You will collaborate with your team members as appropriate
E = EDUCATION – You will keep in mind - lifelong learning and continue growing your knowledge base

Manufacturing is critical to the success of our economy. Technology has advanced the industry and with innovation around the corner, manufacturing today looks different than yesteryear.
Navigating Your Online Network
5 Tips for Résumé Success
1.) Include your volunteer and leadership experience on your résumé . Differentiate yourself and show why you would excel in the position.

2.) Keep formatting consistent. Remember the Applicant Tracking System (or ATS) has to scan and read your document.

3.) Trust your experience. What you bring matters, and the best way to articulate this is by showcasing your accomplishments.

4.) Know the position and tailor your résumé if needed. Your résumé is a living document that must be updated as you grow professionally. In addition, make sure you are including key words from the job description and organization to catch the recruiter's attention. Remember to use your résumé as a platform for deeper discussions.

5.) Use your resources wisely. Contact Career Services or community organizations and have them review your work. Feedback enables continued success!
