First-Year Connection Forum - Sign Up Today!
Iowa State Student Government, along with Rec Services, the Academic Success Center and Student Counseling Services, is hosting a virtual forum for first-year students to connect with each other.

You'll also learn more about mental health, wellness and academic services at Iowa State.

Season is Back!

Fall officially started on Tuesday and that means your favorite fall drinks are here! The best part? You can use your Dining Dollars to purchase these delicious drinks, scratch-made treats and anything else on the menu at your favorite campus cafe.

Celebrate LatinX
Heritage Month - Virtually!

Explore the Parks Library Latinx Heritage Month Virtual Exhibit and you'll find books, relevant streaming videos and resources centered around Latinx Heritage Month. There is also a special tribute to Latinx LGBTQ+ authors and topics to recognize and celebrate Pridefest within the exhibit.

Another great virtual resource is ISU's Multicultural Student Affairs Instagram account - give them a follow to learn more about LatinX Heritage and more!
Job Postings & Things to Do
There are a few dealines coming up:


  • Make sure to post your results for the CY-5 Virtual 5K run before Oct. 5.

  • ISU Recreation Services has registrations open for a few intramural sports. Check out what's open and sign up here.

  • Get your outdoor movie fix tonight! The Marvel movie hit Black Panther, starring Chadwick Boseman, will be shown at 8 p.m. on central campus. Face coverings are required to attend this free event.

  • The Cyclone soccer team is taking on Baylor tonight, football kicks off against TCU tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. and our volleyball team is in Manhattan for a matchup against Kansas State tomorrow night. A full sports calendar and how to watch the games can be found here.
The next ISU AfterDark will be held Oct. 2. This free event will have both virtual and in-person events. The virtual events features Demetrius Harmon, an internet personality and mental health advocate; dance classes with Alister at FuncSoul (with the music from Hamilton and Beyonce) and a virtual escape room. In-person events at the Memorial Union will follow COVID-19 precautions. Get all the details here.

For the second week in a row, The percentage of positive test results on campus was down (Sept. 14-20 it was 4.60% down from 7.81% the previous week). Keep following the four healthy behaviors: Wear a face covering. maintain physical distance (at least six feet) when possible, wash or sanitize hands often and stay home when ill.
