CaribbeanTales Inc is seeking a Fundraising and Sponsorship Manager to join it's vibrant team. You will be part of a dynamic international Black-owned, female-led cultural organisation, and potentially participate in projects across a wide range of activities including development, training, production, marketing, and distribution of film and television content, and festivals/ events both online and live.
Job Description:
- Researching, prioritizing, and writing grant and sponsorship proposals to Governmental, Non-Profit, private Sector organizations and donors, persuasively communicating the organization’s mission and programs to potential funders, drawing on previous successful funding applications and templates
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with funding contacts, potential sponsors, partners and stakeholders
- Maintaining funding calendar to ensure timely submissions
- Coordinating and working with the CaribbeanTales Team to manage fundraising overlaps, ensure efficiency, and maintain an up-to- date picture of CaribbeanTales funding status, carry out organizational communications, support marketing activities and assist with administrative tasks pertaining to various programs and events.
- Support the Executive Director in effectively executing sponsorship campaign
- Maintaining company databases.
- Set up, coordinate and attend funding and sponsorship meetings and take notes
- Manage and keep track of deadlines for deliverable for assigned tasks
- Prepare and edit funding related correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents
- Conduct research, collect and analyze data to prepare reports and documents
Skills and Requirements:
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently.
- Proficiency with online skills including conferencing, project management, marketing, social media and filing systems especially Google drive.
- Excellent knowledge of all basic computer programs and software on Mac and PC .
- The ability to take direction as well as to work independently and take leadership where required.
- Project Management experience and knowledge of the film industry a strong asset.
- The ability and willingness to work within the constraints and limitations of the not for profit arts sector.
- Administration, funding and sponsorship experience for a not-for profit organization required: 3 years
