HOW ARE...
Sarah & Paul Craig?
Sarah writes...
While the Coronavirus Pandemic has had a devastating effect on the lives and livelihoods of so many, much remains the same in the Craig household. Since we are retired, we did not have jobs to lose. If ever there was a good time to be an old retired person, surely, this is it.
Paul continues to monitor the church finances, golf, run and bike, but his volunteer work at the legal clinic and Big Brothers Big Sisters are on hold. Sarah volunteers at the St Pete Free Clinic, walks, bikes, and practices a bit of yoga.
While we miss being with friends and family, Zoom chats are a welcome, but distant alternative. We are grateful to our wonderful congregation for helping us weather the isolation. Online sermons, virtual discussions, play readings and covenant groups all help us feel connected.
We are enjoying the beautiful weather and the birds, which are either much livelier, or we are just noticing them more. Our beloved blue boat is truly benefiting from our stalled economy. We hope that, as we exit this pandemic, we have a renewed appreciation of the effect of our actions on the planet.
