Nicholle,

When you saw your family, or your kids or guests smile this Christmas, did it have that human “chain reaction,” and warm your heart, too?

You inspired MANY smiles outside your home this year, as a caring supporter with VOA.

You showed single mom Jackie, when she felt she lost everything, living in her car at the holidays with her children, that she still had friends like you, to help restore their lives.

You have been a shining light for seniors, now the “fastest growing” homeless group in America, illuminating a pathway for them, from emergency relief and support to resilient hope to carry on.

Please, friend, close out the year with one last act of compassion and kindness. One MORE life changed.

With your gift today, you alongside our front-line responders, can see to it that nobody is left out in the cold, nobody goes hungry or without hope.

Yes. I can give.

I and everyone at VOA thank you for sharing your compassion and kindness with those who need it most.

Happy New Year!

VOA Chesapeake & Carolinas

The Home Depot and Michael & Son Services team up to keep our veterans warm and more!

Our community partners are essential to improving the lives of the individuals and families who call VOA home. Recently, The Home Depot Foundation and Michael & Son Services provided one of the greatest holiday gifts to the formerly homeless veterans we serve – warmth.

Thanks to equipment and materials donated by The Home Depot and labor donated by Michael & Son Services, brand-new HVAC units were installed to keep six veteran apartments cozy during the winter and cool during the summer. These were the last of 24 apartments in need of repair. We are so honored to have partners committed to giving back to those who served our country.

But that's not all!

As part of this effort to bring joy to our Maple Court residents, The Home Depot Foundation went the extra mile by also paying December month's rent for all of our residents in need. They also donated a brand-new grill and smoker for our veterans to enjoy in the courtyard.

These donations have meant the world to the heroes we serve, many of whom were without hope before they found Maple Court.
