Welcome New Board Member
We are proud to welcome a new Board member, Betty Romero, whose involvement with CaringMatters started while she was serving as a member of the AARP-MD Executive Council. During her tenure, she endorsed programs, initiated community outreach, built relationships with local government officials, and strengthened relationships with local organizations, including CaringMatters. Her support through AARP benefited our Bereaved Caregivers Retreat and Community Education programs. Betty's deep knowledge of issues facing seniors and women in the community will help guide our strategic priorities into the future. Read Betty's bio HERE.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to Vivian Bass, Vice Chair of the CaringMatters Board of Directors, on her election as President of Save A Child's Heart (SACH), Israel’s preeminent international humanitarian organization. SACH has saved the lives of more than 6,000 children dying from heart disease in 63 developing countries and is one of the largest international medical organizations working to improve pediatric care around the world. Vivian, elected by the Board of Directors for the U.S. branch of SACH, previously served as SACH US’s Vice President 2020 and was a recipient of the organization’s first Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019.

We are honored to work with Vivian and appreciate her strategic leadership skills and deep experience working with nonprofits throughout her career.
