Annual Tree of Love Celebration
December 1, 2018, 6:00 p.m.
Join us on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the CaringMatters Cottage for our annual Tree of Love & Candle Luminary Celebration. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

This inspiring holiday event, which honors and remembers those who have touched our lives, includes a traditional lighting of the tree, instrumental music, responsive readings, and reading of the names. 

​For $35 per name or three names for $100, your loved ones’ names will be read aloud at the ceremony and an acknowledgement letter will be sent to a person of your choice. Names received by Monday, November 19, 2018, will be included in the printed program.

Upcoming Volunteer Training

CaringMatters next volunteer training will be held November 27-29 . It is a great opportunity to directly give back to the Montgomery County community. The training includes topics such as hospice care, death and dying, grief, communication, appreciating diversity, CaringMatters’ care giving and bereavement programs, and so much more through lectures, guided exercises, role-playing, staff, and professionals.
Welcome Our New Staff Member
It's Time to welcome Our New Director of Adult Bereavement Jim Rossi
Jim, physician-internist, retired from his clinical practice with an emphasis on Geriatrics four years ago. His medical practice included administrative responsibilities and a focus on Quality Management. After his first wife died in 1996, he attending a life-saving Hospice Caring (now CaringMatters) support group for widowed spouses, and pledged back then to give back to the organization. For the past twenty years, he has volunteered with the organization in several capacities--mainly as facilitator of multiple bereavement support groups. Jim has two adult children living on the West coast, and married Jean in 2005. He is fluent in Spanish. Having spent his entire adult life guiding those who are suffering, Jim feels that his calling is now to serve those who are grieving the death of a loved one, and to work closely with CaringMatters' staff and volunteers.

Survivor Day is the one day a year when people affected by suicide loss gather to find comfort and gain understanding as they share stories of healing and hope. Join us November 17, 11:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m at CaringMatters Cottage for a film screening "A Daughters Journey"
