At A Loss: Online Writing Workshop

This workshop is limited to 15 participants.The March 7th workshop is full.

 

Grief needs expression. Spending time with your grief, getting to know its contours and writing about it helps with the process of integrating your grief into your story and learning to live with it. In these writing workshops, offered free of charge, participants will be given ideas and prompts for writing about loss and grief. Each workshop will be a private, safe space to write your story, share it if you choose, and use language to make sense of your feelings.

Connecting with the Local Faith Community to Support the Spiritual Aspect of Palliative Care

Tuesday, March 19, 2024 via Zoom

Faith communities have an important role in supporting patients and families navigating serious advancing illness, end of life, and grief. Join the Montgomery County Palliative Care and End of Life Coalition for an interactive panel discussion to explore spiritual beliefs, practices, and available County resources for patients and families. The webinar is FREE, but registration is REQUIRED.


The webinar will:

  • Explore how language, culture, spirituality/religion can impact patient and family perceptions of dying, death and grief.
  • Assess available County resources supporting its diverse faith traditions related to serious illness and end of life.
  • Discuss opportunities and challenges to strengthen access to care for spiritual, religious, and existential concerns of patients and families, especially for vulnerable/under-resourced communities.
