This year GVCO is having their 6th annual Cradles to Crayons Donation Drive! The drive serves to provide children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. Cradles to Crayons has been working to mitigate the effects of childhood poverty since 2007, serving over 1.2 million children. GVCO is asking for clothing donations that will go to support these children and families in need.
GVCO is asking families to get involved by donating new or very slightly used items.

Items Needed:
- Clothing (new or gently used), children and adult sizes
- New socks and underwear; pajamas (new or gently used)
- Winter coats, hats, gloves/mittens
- Sweatshirts/hoodies and sweatpants
- Shoes, boots, and sneakers (toddler sizes 4–13 and adult sizes 1–10) Books (ages 0-12)
- New arts, crafts, and school supplies
- New hygiene items
- Diapers, pull-ups, and diaper wipes.
Please drop your donations off at GVCO – 51 N. Bacton Hill Rd., Malvern.

This year we will be hosting our Annual Coat Drive one again with the Great Valley Elementary Schools!
Collection spots will be set up at the Elementary Schools and at the GVCO Community Center.
We are collecting child and adult-sized lightly used, recently cleaned winter coats.
These coats will be distributed to local families in need through the graces of the Devereux Foundation.
We encourage you all to participate in a coat closet clean out and keep a family warm in these upcoming winter months!

In December, Caring Hands volunteers will wrap presents for local senior citizens. GVCO will take the presents to senior citizen organizations for distribution at their holiday parties.

For many, many years, this group successfully produced an incredible amount of philanthropy for our Great Valley Community and surrounding region.
When signing up, please ensure that you will be able to attend. The volunteer spots fill up fast - we want to ensure that spots are not being wasted by those who do not show up.
If you are unable to attend an event after you already signed up, delete your sign up on SignUp Genius. Your spot will open up for another volunteer.

On October 6th, GVCO hosted the Best Buddies Regional Cornhole tournament.
Best Buddies is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Buddy pairs from Great Valley, Henderson, and Rustin, competed in a bracket-style tournament. Danny and Cooper from Henderson were the winners of the tournament, with runner-up, Drew and John from Rustin!

Thank you to the volunteers who helped at the Caring Hands Gift Sale Inventory Day! The volunteers spent the afternoon moving boxes, inventorying boxes of holiday gifts, and preparing the GVCO Community Center for our holiday sale later this fall.

15 years of Challenger Gym at GVCO!
Challenger Gym is a recreational community gym program for school-age kids from first grade through high school who have extra challenges.
On Thursday afternoons at GVCO, Challenger is a fun hour of play where friendships are forged, and games and activities are adapted to make everyone feel successful! For many years, Challenger Gym has allowed those who may not find success in traditional community sports programs to laugh, run, jump, throw, make friends, and shine!
We are so excited to host Challenger Gym at the GVCO Community complex once again!
