Caring for Our Caregivers

Many of my clients are caregivers. They are often caregiving for their children with disabilities or for their elderly parents. Others are more distant relatives who have taken it upon themselves to care for their loved one. Although their situations vary greatly, I see many recurring themes. I see strength, compassion, and selflessness on a grand scale. I see struggle, grief, and a unique optimism that finds joy in the little moments. I would like to touch on some of those struggles and offer some solutions and hope.

Hosted by Attorney Linda Gorczynski, moms will be empowered and given the tools needed to advocate for their children at school, such as:
- An overview of special education
- Navigating the IEP and ETR forms
- What to expect during meetings with  
- Procedural safeguards
Participants will also be able to speak one-on-one with professionals, as well as with other moms. Moms will also have the opportunity to relax and recharge by pampering themselves with yoga, beauty treatments, and massages. Breakfast and lunch included.  Registration fee: $15.00
