Thank you to everyone who supported Community Care Northumberland during Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Week from November 18-24!

A special shoutout to our incredible CCN staff and volunteers who braved the cold, rain, and everything in between to encourage people in the drive-thru and decorate cookies with so much enthusiasm.

We’re also deeply grateful to the amazing team at Brighton Tim Hortons for their unwavering support! We can’t wait to share the total we raised together - stay tuned!

Wind Phone Dedication at Ed’s House

Last week, we were honoured to dedicate the Wind Phone at Ed’s House, a meaningful addition to our Therapeutic Garden. This special space offers a unique way to connect with those we've lost, allowing us to express grief, share memories, and say goodbye.

A huge thank you to RTOERO Northumberland District 30 for their generous $4,000 donation, along with the volunteers, local businesses, and community members who brought this project to life. We're also grateful to everyone who joined us for the dedication ceremony - it was a beautiful moment of remembrance and healing.

Transportation Services

Volunteer Transportation Spotlight

Meet Doug, a dedicated Volunteer Transportation Driver with Community Care Northumberland!

Over the past decade, Doug has volunteered in many ways, from delivering meals with Meals on Wheels to supporting the Brighton shuffleboard group. Alongside his wife, Debbie, he’s also involved with the local food bank, church events, and support groups for migrant workers and Ukrainian refugees.

When asked about his most memorable and rewarding moment, Doug shared, “I think my time delivering Meals on Wheels was most rewarding but I enjoy most activities because I get to meet new and interesting folks, and most are very appreciative.”

Thank you, Doug, for your amazing support!
