Virtual Curriculum Nights

Virtual Curriculum Nights for our Hybrid parents and guardians will be held the last week in September via Google Meets.  Online Academy Curriculum Nights will be at a later date.  Below are a list of the times and dates for each grade level, specific teachers, or Related Arts.  Both sessions offered for Grades K - 4 are identical and not cohort specific. If you cannot make either session, please contact your child's teacher for information.  

This is a great time to ask questions, learn about what your child will be learning in person and through Canvas, classroom routines, and more!

September 28th:

Kindergarten - Session One: 4 - 4:30pm; Session Two: 4:30 - 5pm

First Grade - Session One: 4:30 - 5pm; Session Two: 5 - 5:30pm

Fifth Grade - 4 - 4:30pm

Mrs. Gatton's Class - 5 - 5:30pm

September 29th:

Second Grade - Session One: 4:30 - 5pm; Session Two: 5 - 5:30pm

Third Grade - Session One: 5 - 5:30pm; Session Two: 5:30 - 6pm

Log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal to fill the forms out as soon as possible if you have not done so already! (Click here for instructions)
School Hours 

Elementary school hours are 8:30 a.m. - 2:55 p.m. 
The building will open at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast
Students enter the building at 8:20 a.m.
Tardy bell rings at 8:30 a.m.

Absence Reporting Procedure

Please call the Carlisle office at 740-833-1450 to report your student's absence (the SafeArrival absence reporting system will not be used for the first semester of the 2020-2021 school year).  If you do not report your child's absence by 9:00 a.m. you will receive a phone call from the school office. 
Parent Communication

There are several ways to receive information about Carlisle School and Delaware City Schools.  Please check out the following:

  • Text Messages: to receive text messages from DCS you must opt in by texting the word YES to 67587 from the phone on which you want to receive the message.  The number must match the number we have listed in your students' contact file.  If you receive a message that the number is not in the DCS system, please contact the Carlisle office and request to add your number or make a change to the number we have on file 
  • Carlisle School E-Mail List - Click Here to be redirected to the DCS website and sign up to receive Carlisle newsletters, special bulletins and other important information from Carlisle Elementary 

DCS has upgraded to PaySchools Central to pay for school meals and fees.  You will need to set up a new account in order to use the system, and it accepts both bank account transfers and credit card payments.  

To encourage the use of PaySchools, there will be no convenience fee charged for the first semester.
