Dear Carnes Crossroads Residents,

Please join us in welcoming our new Maintenance Technician, Anthony Klassy. Anthony has already proven to be a valuable team member here at Carnes and we are delighted to have him as part of the Carnes Crossroads team. Here is a short bio on Anthony.

Hello, Anthony Klassy here. I moved here many moons ago and have been a resident of Charleston for over 25 years now. I have a very large background in the Print & Graphic Design Industry as I did that for over a decade. I also owned and operated a local landscaping company here in Charleston for a little over 6 years. I am very tech savvy but love being outdoors all the same. I am a girl dad of a beautiful little 10 month old named Natalina. I am also a pet parent to a very high energy Cane Corso and an elegant Maine Coon.

Community Information

There has been several sightings and incidents of golf carts driving on the walking paths or grass. A friendly reminder that golf carts are required to stay on the road.

Did you know soliciting is not allowed in Carnes Crossroads?

If you see someone soliciting kindly let them know that it is not allowed in the community and that they need to leave the property immediately. Then report it to the POA office and we can escort them off the property if necessary. Residents can also call the non-emergency police number 843-572-4300. Residents should report solicitors to the non emergency number during non office hours. There are "No Soliciting" signs posted at the entrances to the community.

Did you know that political signs are not allowed to be placed in the community?

The Design Guidelines prohibit the display of any signs.

Did you know that rocks are not permitted for use in the plant beds?

The Design Guidelines state "Only natural colored mulch will be allowed". This would include brown mulch, black mulch or pine straw. If you have rocks in your plant beds please reach out to the office for guidance. We are currently in the process of inspecting and enforcing all Design Guidelines. If you receive a courtesy letter, please understand that it serves as a reminder to adhere to our community standards and follow the prescribed procedures.

What are the Design Guidelines and where can I find them?

The builders have small dumpsters outside of the homes being built for construction debris. The land fill they are bringing the construction debris to does not allow house hold trash to be mixed in with the construction debris. Please do not put any trash in the dumpsters.

The first couple weeks of Summer have been busy for the kiddos at Carnes! Thank you to everyone who came out to our Schools Out for Summer Dive in Movie and Party in the Park!

Mahjong Club

When: Fridays 1PM-3PM

Where: Green Barn

Resident Marianne H. and friends have started a Mahjong Group. This group will focus on teaching beginners how to play until they can get an official league started. Chalk Art Fun

Where: Green Barn Side Walk

When: June 13th 10-11AM and 3-4PM

Let's brighten up the sidewalks of Carnes! Do you have a child you loves chalk or loves to be creative? This event will be geared towards children and teens but everyone is welcome to show off their artistic abilities! June 6th we will be chalking from 10A-11A and 3P-4P. This would also be a great time for your kids to meet other neighbors and friends to play with during Summer break! Rain Date is June 14th 10A-11A and 3P-4P

Fathers Day Cornhole Tournament

Where: Village Green

When: June 16th 5PM

Calling all dads! Pick a partner and register for the Father's Day Cornhole Tournament. Registration is free and the winning team will receive a prize.

Forth Friday Farmers Market

Where: Green Barn

When: June 23rd 5PM-8PM

Join us on the Village Green for the Fourth Friday Farmers Market. There will be over 50 vendors, multiple food trucks, and live music by Liam Murphy. Bring a law chair, coolers, and enjoy your evening among neighbors!

Please note- Parish Farms from Wodin Place to traffic circle will be closed 3PM-8:30PM

If we must cancel due to severe weather, we will still have live music in the barn from 5-8PM. Feel free to bring your coolers and snacks!
