The Duke Environmental Law and Policy Clinic’s first annual Environmental Justice Symposium will be February 9, 2018, at Duke Law. The theme is Access to Water and Sanitation in Underserved Communities.

Free events will include a panel discussion with environmental justice community organizers, a keynote address, and break-out sessions in the areas of Regulatory, Engineering, & Building Relationships in Communities

A Day in the Life Series: A Panel Discussion about Careers in the Arts, Policy, & Charitable Foundations
Tuesday, February 20 @ 5-7 PM
Location: Hyde Hall, University Room

Come network with three leaders with extensive experience in the arts, policy and charitable foundations as they discuss their career paths and share advice with graduate students on defining professional goals. There will be an opportunity to meet the panelists and time for Q&A.

Military Affiliated Grad Student Social on February 22
The Carolina Veterans Resource Center will be hosting Military Affiliated Graduate Students for a social on Thursday, February 22, 4:30-6 pm at their headquarters on 211 Branson Street, Chapel Hill, NC. Other CVRC events can be found on their Facebook Page. Hope you can attend!
The Clean Tech Summit will take place March 1-2 at the Friday Center from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

The   5th Annual Summit  will bring together attendees and speakers from business, government, agriculture and academia to explore key issues in clean tech with keynotes, discussions, workshops, mentoring and networking to foster leadership and growth in the Southeast’s clean tech industry. Themes will involve entrepreneurship, clean energy, innovation in agriculture, and smart and healthy cities.

    The UNC Department of Statistics and Operations Research announces the availability of free statistical consulting. Our goal is to teach this important skill to graduate students, but you can get some free statistical assistance in the process.
