School of Government Professor Jessica Smith was recently featured in the university publication The Well. "The Formula for Reform" focuses on her efforts to help transform North Carolina's criminal justice system through evidence-based reform. Read the full article here.
Congratulations to MPA faculty member Dr. Michele Hoyman on her recent article acceptance.

Journal of Public Policy has just accepted the manuscript titled: "Place Matters: Government Capacity, Community Characteristics, and Social Capital across United States Counties" This is co-authored by Jamie Mccall (MPA alumnus), Austin Bussing (Ph.d student Poli Sci) and Michele Hoyman (Assoc Prof PoliSci and adjunct MPA.)

Dr. Hoyman will be teaching PUBA 722- Federal Policies & PUBA 780-002 -Arbitration this fall term. Both are offered remotely.

YNPN Triangle NC board members are committed to supporting young nonprofit professionals in the Triangle by fostering networking, skill-building, and resource-sharing. The current board recognizes the need for new knowledgeable, dedicated community members who can join YNPN's leadership team and provide support. We encourage all young professionals with an interest in advancing the mission of YNPN Triangle NC to apply, whether you work in the nonprofit, for-profit, or public sector.
The 2021 Board Recruitment Application will be open August 17- August 31. The application process will include an online application process and a virtual interview.
YNPN will have a Board Recruitment Networking Event on August 17 from 6:15 to 7:30 PM. Stay tuned for more information!
