This Spring, CVFC has seen plenty of action on the field and on the training ground. Our season started off with a bang at the MYSA Spring Shootout!
Nine CVFC teams competed! All of our players showed great sportsmanship and tremendous effort, even in frigid temperatures!
Congratulations to our U10 boys and U16 boys, who reached the finals of their respective brackets. Well done, everyone!

Coaches Corner
Get to know
our incredible coaches
! Learn a bit about their background and how they inspire our young players. This week, Coach James Smith takes us back to his childhood playing days. He discusses his passion for the game, and his commitment to fostering a real the love of the game in our players.
“Growing up in England football is just a way of life. I learnt all my basic technique and skill on the streets playing with my friends until I was told to come inside because it was dark. That is where I built my love for the game and developed a real hunger to succeed.
It was also the most enjoyable thing I could ever think about doing. That is what I want our kids to feel and experience; a pure love for the game that all they want to do is kick a ball around. It is so important that they are enjoying the game and feel excited going to practice. This will help our players develop a mindset where they want to improve and succeed. I always wanted to win, but when I didn’t, I would immediately look forward to the next game. And then when that was done, the next game, and the next game, and so on. It is a real pleasure to work with our players and I only hope that they find a love for the game as I did!”
