Welcome to Carollton Elementary, the school where students and staff show pride in their every day through hard work and respect for one another.
Academically, our school goals are to improve students' abilities in reading, writing, and math. The staff is dedicated to making sure each child is successful in each of these areas. We concentrate on teaching our students to R.O.A.R. We teach our students to be Responsible, Organized, to Achieve, and to be Respectful. I know that you will find the staff here enthusiastic, devoted, and caring.
A quick note from the Health room
With cold and flu season fast approaching we ask that all parents start to remember and honor the following district policy from the Student and Family Elementary Handbook in order to control classroom health.
When Parents Should Keep Their Child Home
The following are indicators when to keep your child home:
- Fever over 100 degrees
- Eyes that are red, inflamed, crusty, or glassy
- Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting
- Frequent and/or hacking cough, sneezing, “running” nose
- Severe and/or prolonged sore throat
- Unusual paleness
- Persistent pain
- Generalized rashes
- Crusting or draining areas on exposed skin (hands, face, etc.)
- Any contagious disease, head lice, or scabies
Children should be “symptom free” for 24 hours with before returning to school.
Pupils who have a temporary health condition should have a request for an excuse from physical education from a parent or health care professional. However, excuses from physical education for an extended period of time will require a statement from the health care provider who is treating your child for this illness or injury.
