The Carraro Residence has stood the test of time: first as a private home and now as a destination for guests and events. Contributing to an identifiable Texas design vocabulary, the project is one of the earliest representations of Lake|Flato’s ethos of stewarding the land and repurposing local materials in inventive ways.

Young Professional Achievement Award Goes to Sophia Razzaque
Sophia Razzaque, AIA, NOMA, IIDA, LEED AP is the recipient of Texas Society of Architects’ Award for Young Professional Achievement. An Associate at Lake|Flato, Sophia’s contributions to the design profession are numerous and diverse – spanning advocacy of social equity and EDI initiatives to numerous lectures, publications, and industry leadership contributions.

New Mexico School for the Arts Receives State Design Award
NMSA is one of only 15 projects to receive a state-wide Texas Society of Architects design award. The project repurposes over a dozen different buildings built across 140 years into an inspirational campus for the nation’s only public boarding school for the arts. Completed in collaboration with Studio Southwest Architects.
