Describe your work at Carson's Village with one word: Insightful
What interests you in the field of social work?: I have always been drawn to the helping profession. I feel like it is my purpose in life to advocate for those who cannot at the moment.
How did you find Carson's Village?: Baylor's Placement Program
What have you learned working for Carson's Village so far?: When people traditionally think of bereavement services, some of the first thoughts that come to mind are "sad" or "heavy." However, I find it to be "fulfilling" or even "rewarding" to be of assistance to families in need. Being allowed into families' worst moments, I am so appreciative that I get to be of service in celebrating the life of their loved one.
What do you find unique about working for Carson's Village?: The Carson's Village team is so supportive, and the environment is conducive to learning. Everyone is accessible and highly knowledgeable. They are a well-oiled machine tasked with supporting families in all 50 states and other territories. I don't think you can find that anywhere else!
