Fall Fundraising Highlights

Fall is always a busy and exciting season for Carson's Village, and we are incredibly grateful for the wide variety of ways our community shows its support.

7th Annual Carson's Village Golf Tournament

This year marked our 7th annual golf tournament at Bear Creek Golf Club, and it was a fantastic success! Thanks to the support of our golfers, we were able to raise essential funds that will directly benefit our organization and its mission.

North Texas Giving Day

We’re thrilled to announce that this year’s North Texas Giving Day campaign was a major triumph! With the unwavering support of our Village, we surpassed our previous record and raised an impressive $19,000. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the generous donors and organizers who contributed—your efforts have made a significant and lasting impact on the families we serve.

Volunteer of the year:

Chuck Bird

We are thrilled to announce that Chuck Bird has been awarded our 2024 Volunteer of the Year. For more than two years, Chuck has generously volunteered as a "Villager" in our Peer 2 Peer program, offering compassion and support to those navigating loss.

In our Peer 2 Peer program, we pair individuals experiencing a recent loss with trained volunteers who have faced similar circumstances. This one-on-one support fosters connection and helps individuals feel less alone during their journey of grief.

Chuck has gone above and beyond, dedicating his time to helping others heal, like in the case of one Peer who shared:

“Chuck came into our lives through Carson's Village to support and help us. He checked on us every couple of weeks regularly and offered his precious time to help us and listen to us anytime we needed.”

We extend our deepest gratitude to Chuck for his dedication and hard work. You’ve made a lasting impact on countless families, and we are fortunate to have you as part of our Village!

Welcome Fall 2024 Interns!

We’re happy to welcome our newest interns pursuing their Masters of Social Work to the Carson’s Village Team. Through working alongside our Advocates, interns develop casework and research skills as well as acquire the work experience necessary for their degree. We’re so happy to have you!
