The Carver Walking Club Fridays: Starting August 20th!

The Carver Walking Club is back! Starting THIS FRIDAY (8/20), the Walking Club will walk to school every Friday! You can also look forward to t-shirts, prizes and new Walking Club hole-punch membership cards. Membership cards will be distributed before the first walk!

Participate in the Walking Club and your class might win the coveted "Golden Shoe" Award! Who will be the first class to win it this year?
Walk with us or drop off your child at one of the four "Walking School Bus" starting points at 7:50AM every school Friday. At 8:00AM, your child will walk to school with a group of students led by a parent volunteer, also known as a "Walking School Bus". Don't forget to bring your Carver Walking Club Punch Card!

You can choose from one of four Walking School Bus routes:

Route 1: Meet at 7:50AM at the location of The San Marino Toy & Book Shoppe, located at 2476 Huntington Drive. The Walking School Bus will then walk east on Huntington to Carver.

Route 2: Meet at 7:50AM at the corner of E. Ravendale Rd and Vista Street. The Walking School Bus will walk north on Vista and west on Huntington to Carver.

Route 3: Meet at 7:50AM at the south-east corner of San Gabriel and Duarte Road by Howie's Ranch Market. The Walking School Bus will walk north up San Gabriel to Carver.

Route 4: Meet at Wallingford and Palomar at 7:50AM. The Walking School Bus will walk south on Palomar and then east on Huntington to Carver.
*Note: Your children can also join any Walking School bus along their route.

Thinking to walk every Friday? Why not become a parent volunteer for your route. Please contact Greg Johansing (gfjohansing@gmail.com) or Ms. Suzuki at (isuzuki@smusd.us).

DO YOUR BEST. HAVE FUN DOING IT.
The best way to find out what you do best is to do it. Throw a football. Catch a fish. Ride a bike. Set up a tent. Build a pinewood derby car. Cub Scouting offers kids the opportunity to see and learn fun, new things that can’t be found anywhere else.
Cub Scouts are at that magical age where everything is new and possible and, most important, fun. They build things. Play with purpose. Make friends and work together. The life lessons learned here not only transform today’s Cub Scouts into tomorrow’s Scouts BSA, but also help form a foundation to embrace opportunity and overcome obstacles in life.
  • Cub Scouts is open to all kids from Kindergarten through 5th grade.
  • Join in on your child’s adventure and become an adult leader!
