This month, our young people accomplished something remarkable. Students are earning college acceptances. Graduates are securing their financial futures. Families are gathering around meals they might not otherwise have.

Month in Review

Hunger Hero!

Honored with a Hunger Hero Certificate from Feeding Westchester for the impact of our retail recovery food distribution program, helping provide food access to 75,834 community members.

This year, we've recovered 250,000 lbs. of food and distributed 565,000 lbs. to families who need it.

A thank you to our dedicated team and volunteers whose compassion, consistency, and hard work make this impact possible every day. We are also deeply grateful to our partners and supporters who continue to stand with us to help nourish our neighbors.

Learning That Works

312 Acceptances and Counting

At our Scholarship Award Night, we celebrated the achievements of our graduating class:

• 323 college acceptances
• 495 college applications submitted
• 122 total scholarships awarded
• 45 Carver Center scholarships awarded ($79,000)
• $750,000 of financial aid awarded to our graduating seniors

Our teen center staff walked alongside each of these students through the entire process!

Community Collaborations

Impact100 Community Event

Members of Impact100 visited Carver Center this month to collect and pack dorm room essentials for our Teen Center's end-of-year celebration. They brought supplies, they brought energy, and they brought their commitment to our students. Our young people will head to college with items that signal someone cares about their transition.

914Cares Partnership

914Cares recently visited Carver to see our work up close.

They toured our afterschool programming that supports local students with learning, mentorship, and enrichment. They saw our Carver Market food pantry, where families access essential groceries with dignity. Through their diaper bank program, we're reaching families with one of their most basic needs. When families aren't stressed about how to afford diapers, parents can focus on jobs, children can focus on school, and babies get what they need to thrive.
