Carver Voices - September

Greetings!

Happy September! As we transition into fall, we are energized by the return of familiar faces.

Here are 3 program highlights, 2 community highlights, and 1 question to reflect on!

Month in Review

Carver After School

Program Kicks Off

We have officially started the Carver After School Program for the new academic year. Our classrooms and halls are once again filled.

We are starting the year off strong and expect to enroll 715 students this academic year. They are ready to learn, and grow in a safe, enriching environment.

Happy First Day of Teen Center

We opened the doors to our Teen Center for the 2026–2027 academic year on September 14th!

This dedicated space will continue to serve as a vital hub for our local youth to connect, access resources, and build leadership skills.

As of September 24, our Teen Center staff have already enrolled 165 of our 300 spots for this academic year, and we're just getting started!

We are so excited to get to know each of our members.

Empowering Through Language

We proudly held our first day of English Language Learner (ELL) lessons on September 15th.

This program remains a cornerstone of our commitment to equipping our diverse community members with the tools they need to thrive.

We are thankful for all of our teachers who volunteer their time, meet our neighbors where they are at, and help further our mission!

Community Collaborations

A Fresh Partnership with Sprouts

We are thrilled to announce that Sprouts in Hartsdale is one of our newest partners for our Retail Recovery roster.

This addition will help that our community has access to more options of food and helps us ensure our shelves remain stocked for those who need it most.

Nonprofit Change Maker Award

The Carver Center is receiving the Change Maker Award from Nonprofit Westchester (NPW)!

We are so proud of our dedicated team and deeply grateful to be recognized by NPW for the impact we are making together!
