August means the end of summer vacation, the beginning of school, and looking ahead to busier schedules, cooler weather, and holidays.

The summer months at Casa de Esperanza saw two new groups of Hands of Hope Interns and no decrease in requests for help from families and children. Thanks to t he generosity of so many, our numerous calls for diapers, wipes, baby food and car seats were met with overwhelming response. Backpacks and school supplies have poured in, and the many visitors to the Casa de Esperanza neighborhood helped keep our children busy and our Hands of Hope Interns encouraged.

With renewed energy and YOUR help, Casa de Esperanza looks forward to a fall filled with activity, preparation for Christmas, and kick-offs for the Young Professionals Chili Cook-Off and the 2020 Building Hope for Children Gala. The 2020 gala will be extra special in that we are honoring our founder, Kathy Foster, and celebrating her vision to provide care and love to the children of the greater Houston community that are impacted by abuse, neglect, homelessness and substance abuse.

Our invitation to visit the neighborhood remains open. A visit is a great way to learn more about Casa de Esperanza and see first-hand how your generosity is impacting children and families. Please contact us to set up your visit!

Thank you for your continued support for the work of Casa de Esperanza. It is because of you that our families find hope for a better future.
