Casco Public Library is pleased to announce our first annual 
Winter Wonderland of Trees
November 17 - December 6
 
Come in to the Library to view over 20 beautifully decorated trees donated by local businesses, organizations and individuals!  
 
The trees will be raffled off as a fundraiser for the library and if you aren't in Maine this time of year, you can still participate!  Photos will be posted on our website Nov. 17 and you can call t
he library and tell us which tree(s) you would like to buy raffles tickets for!
Tickets are sold in bundles so you can take a chance on multiple trees!
10 tickets for $10
25 tickets for $20

S enior Environmental Educator at ecomaine, Katrina Bussiere-Venhuizen will speak about the simple reuse/recycling choices we make daily. Come and learn "Use this, not that"; decisions that will save money, care for the environment, and help those around you.
Bring all your questions too!!
Learn what can and what cannot be recycled. Learn where your recycling and trash actually go after the transfer station. Watch a fascinating virtual tour of ecomaine's recycling and trash-to-energy plants.
 
Take home info to help you recycle at home like a pro! Take home some fun free stuff!  
Bio: Katrina Bussiere-Venhuizen is the Senior Environmental Educator with ecomaine who is responsible for educational and outreach programming. Her passion concerning waste diversion and contamination reduction goals inspires students and adults alike.

We are pleased to announce a series of four Beginner Ukulele Classes for children! (3rd to 5th grade) These classes will be held at the Library in January. There will be no cost to participate. The program is being offered through the support of the family of Ben Deitz, a pioneering musician who died at the age of 32 and who spent all the summers of his life in Casco.

if you are interested in enrolling your son or daughter and let us know if they have a ukulele available for them to use. We will have instruments available to borrow. We will set the dates and times based on the interest and availability of the students.

The Library will be open during the Casco Village Church Fair & Luncheon with Santa visiting 10:30 am - 1:00 pm! Bring the kids to have a photo with Santa in a quieter space than a shopping center!
Winter Wonderland raffle will be going on and lots of handmade crafts for sale!
