This week, we share a case study from KEA Advisor John Whitnell's work with K. Kneal Truck and Bus Center. We thank the K. Neal team for their business.
Stephen Neal in acquired K. Neal Truck & Bus in 2006 with a mission to provide reliable transportation products and superior product support service to his customers in the greater Washington DC metro market. Representing several OEM brands as well as a full service truck leasing business, K. Neal operates three service locations as well as a used truck lot. K. Neal is in the process of opening a new dealership facility that will serve as a conduit for serving customers more effectively.
With an org structure and responsibilities forged over 13 years, K. Neal’s management communication processes had not kept pace with changing customer expectations. They determined that the transition into the new dealership facility represented a critical opportunity to re-examine every aspect of their leadership structure.
K. Neal leadership reached out to John Whitnell at KEA Advisors to assess their operational processes, to implement best practices, and to bring their performance to a higher level. Additionally, John was tasked with supervising the operation of the Used Truck Department to institutionalize process discipline.
Korey Neal, President of K. Neal shares, “With John’s help, we have made important changes to the K. Neal management team. K. Neal has also made sweeping changes to how we run our Used Truck Department. The changes we’ve implemented to various business processes have profound implications for the quality of the products and services that we are delivering to our customers. These changes will also allow us to manage used truck risks more effectively, and to improve the profitability of the Used Truck Department. K. Neal needed a partner that has proven experience dealing with dealership structure issues and process management challenges. KEA has this expertise because they are in dealerships every day, looking at these same issues. Thank you to John and KEA Advisors for your ongoing support!”
