Case Study Program & College Fair

Monday, April 20 at 6:00pm

We are excited to host a valuable two-part evening for the Class of 2027. This required event is designed to give both students and parents meaningful insight into the college admission process and opportunities to connect directly with college representatives.

Event Overview

Part 1: College Case Study with Admission Counselors - 5:30pm - 7pm

Students will work alongside college admission representatives to review real application materials and gain firsthand insight into how admission decisions are made. During the Case Study Program, parents and students take on the role of an admissions committee, led by two current admissions professionals. The purpose of the evening will be for you to rank the mock applicants and decide which ones the institution will accept, wait-list, or deny.

Part 2: Parent Speaker Event & College Fair - 7pm - 8:15pm

At 7pm, parents will attend a featured presentation, and students will head to the Freitas Memorial Gymnasium for the College Fair. Parents will join their students at the fair around 7:30pm. This is an opportunity for families to engage with a wide range of colleges and universities.

Snacks

As the event takes place during the dinner hour, guests are welcome to bring a snack and water.

Important Reminders for the Case Study

1. Registration Is Required - Register Here!

All participants must have registered in advance. Upon registration, you will receive a unique barcode required for check-in.

2. REQUIRED: Please READ through the Case Study materials before Monday and bring a copy of the Case Study Materials. Participants must bring copies of the Case Study materials (printed or accessible on a laptop or iPad. It is not recommended to view these on a phone) to actively participate in the session. Guest Wi-Fi will be available. Having materials ready to access will ensure you can fully engage in the experience. It is essential that students/parents/guardians come prepared.

College Fair Preparation

The College Fair is a unique opportunity to meet directly with college admission counselors, ask questions, and demonstrate interest in schools you may be considering. Before the event, review your “My Colleges” and “Suggested Colleges” lists in Scoir. Make a plan to visit and connect with those schools during the College Fair. List of schools attending HERE!
