Webinar Recap: Avoiding Labor Violations
IGIA hosted a webinar on Thursday, April 29, with Melissa Wright, community outreach and resource planning specialist from the Wage & Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor. Companies are initiating policies and procedures intended to help employees and incentivize their work during the pandemic, which sounds like a good idea, but in doing so they are inadvertently causing labor law violations. Wright walked participants through the violations the department has been seeing and how companies can remain in compliance with the law.
If you're interested in having a copy of the slides or any of the helpful links that Melissa mentioned, email Annie Schlink at aschlink@iowagrocers.com and she will send them to you.
