Casino Experts to Examine Adapting to

Changing Consumer Landscape at Winter Meeting,

December 8 – 11 at Resorts World Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – The casino industry’s impressive recovery from the pandemic and its plans to adapt to rapidly changing consumer behaviors will be the focal point of a committee meeting when the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) convenes its Winter Meeting, December 8-11 at Resorts World Las Vegas.

Registration is open to the public; click nclgs.org to view the agenda and registration and hotel options.

Casino experts will examine how they are balancing what works now as opposed to what may work in the future, including how casinos adjust to an aging database of core customers, consumers who prefer playing non-traditional games, and consumers who see gaming as just one option in the broader universe of digital entertainment.

NCLGS Vice President Shawn Fluharty, a delegate from West Virginia who serves as Minority Whip, will be the moderator for the Committee on Casinos discussion with presenters including:

  • Kevin Jones, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Legal Officer, Genting Americas

  • Blake Rampmaier, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Boyd Gaming

  • June Taylor, Chair, Ohio Casino Control Commission

The four-day Winter Meeting will include six NCLGS Committee presentations, two general session panels, morning and luncheon keynote addresses, International Masters of Gaming Law Masterclasses, 2023 igaming legislative preview, two evening networking receptions, and off-site tours.

As the only gaming conference that focuses on legislative decision-makers, the NCLGS Winter Meeting will attract dozens of lawmakers from across the country among the more than 300 expected attendees. Other attendees will include regulators, operators, suppliers, attorneys, lobbyists, media and other stakeholders to discuss all aspects of regulated gambling.

The Sports Betting Regulators Association, a project of the Association of Racing Commissioners International, will once again co-locate with NCLGS, meeting on

December 8.
