Fall Fundraiser

One of the main features of the fall fundraiser is the auction. We are planning to go live with the auction in the upcoming weeks. But an auction is only as good as the items that are listed. This is where we need your help. If you have any goods or services you'd like to donate, please contact Hilary or Kris. In past years we have had some amazing items donated by parents from handmade quilts to gift cards to professional consultations! Please reach out if you've got ideas or items for the auction!

Meet Mara Anderson

Mercer Varsity Girls Tri-Captain

Mara has been rowing for 3 years with Mercer and was elected as one of the new captains for the Women's varsity team! Congratulations Mara!

Below are some of the answers Mara provided to questions about her rowing experience!

Favorite thing about the sport: My favorite thing about rowing is the sense of community and togetherness. The idea is that a boat can only move when every single person is pulling with each other for each other. Knowing that your friends are by your side working their hardest makes you want to also push yourself.

Biggest Achievements in Rowing:  It sounds cheesy but I think my team selecting me as Captain is one of my biggest achievements. It makes me want to be the best version of myself when I know that others are looking up to me and seeing my potential, so it was a special moment for me.

What does rowing mean to you: To me, rowing means pushing myself athletically, emotionally, and mentally at practice. It means setting goals, working hard, and making memories and friends in the process. Although this sport is difficult at times, it’s so worthwhile to work hard and see it pay off.
