Caspersen Rowing Center Happenings

Providing a venue where athletes of all ages, talents and backgrounds have the opportunity to develop their rowing ability to their highest potential.

Thank You For Your Support

The Capital City Rowing League Row for Change Gala was an amazing evening of celebration.

Thank you to all who attended or donated. We were able to reach our fundraising goal and will continue putting those donations to use providing students access to the sport of rowing!

Your support—whether through attendance, sponsorship, or outreach within your school community—will directly impact our ability to continue transforming lives through rowing.

We want to acknowledge our honorees for their support of the Capital City Rowing League: Dr. Rob Connor; James Butter Allen; Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson; and Trenton Councilwoman Crystal Feliciano.

A special thank you to Aquil Abdullah for sharing his amazing rowing story and his leadership. Help us to build his legacy!

Well Done to All Our Fall Season Competitors

As fall comes to a close, we’re shifting gears into winter training. The winter season is built for strength, focus, and laying the groundwork for spring speed.

Winter sessions emphasize endurance, technique, power, and consistency. It’s also a great time for newcomers to learn the fundamentals in a supportive, structured environment.

Anyone interested in joining our winter rowing program can email Coach Jamie for details!

Expansion News

New Milestones at the Caspersen Boathouse!

The first layer of pavement is now complete, and the new parking lot is in use. Next up, and as weather permits, the construction team will begin work on utilities and foundation for the new building.

Please use caution and follow the speed limits when on the road into the boathouse and in then new parking area.

Thank you for your patience as we move toward improved facility for all!

While the construction is moving forward, we are still in need of money to finish the project. If you would like to make a contribution in support of the project, please contact Kris Grudt. There are still naming opportunities available.
