Our world-class music students have worked hard to earn the historic opportunity to participate in the upcoming inaugural festivities in Washington, D.C. this month. That's right, the
Cass Tech Marching Band (CTMB) has been invited to perform at the Presidential inauguration!
As you know, Cass Tech has a long tradition of excellence in music and our current students are simply outstanding. They will carry on the CT spirit and legacy as they wave our banner high for the whole world to see as we pause to observe the President being sworn in. Students will also have the opportunity to audition for scholarships to local colleges and universities while in DC.
But they need our help. Our band instruments are badly in need of repair. We still have to help cover the travel costs for the band. And unfortunately there is simply not enough support coming from the Detroit Public Schools to make this trip a reality.
They have been practicing, performing and fundraising to pay for this trip, but without our immediate financial support, they will not be able to make the trip. The CTMB is still hoping to raise an additional $40,000.00 that is needed for the trip.
We have to give right now to help them get to D.C.
If we all contribute $100 we can help them make it to D.C.
Go to http://ctmb.org to make your $100 donation now.
It is simple, safe and secure.
Every contribution helps. If you can't give $100, then give what you can. Even a $20 donation will help significantly because it shows our excellent students that we support them as alumni.
Thank you in advance for doing your part to support Cass Tech.
In the CT spirit,
Ada Nicole Smith
