Books and Cats-
Life is Good!

Kay Higgins, President of our Board of Directors, has another great book suggestion for us as we explore the wealth of cat books available. The Dalai Lama's Cat, by David Michie, is a tale that will warm readers' hearts as they cope with the daily challenges of life in 2020.

This is the heartwarming story of a small kitten rescued from the slums of New Delhi. She finds herself in the Dalai Lama's beautiful sanctuary with sweeping views of the snow-capped Himalayas. In her exotic new home, the Dalai Lama’s cat encounters Hollywood stars, Buddhist masters, Ivy-league professors, famous philanthropists, and a host of other people who come to visit His Holiness. She is a tiny spy in the room who carefully listens to all that transpires. Each encounter offers a fresh insight into finding happiness and meaning in the midst of a life of chaos and troubles. Drawing us into her world with her adorable, but somewhat quirky personality, the Dalai Lama’s cat discovers how, instead of trying to change the world, changing the way we experience the world is the key to true contentment.

You can order this wonderful cat book from Amazon, or check your local library for copies.
Best Friends -
Brothers Charlie
and Miguel

It's hard to tell them apart until you look very closely! These little guys are 1 year old brothers, and are a bonded pair. Miguel is shy and sweet; Charlie is also shy but somewhat sassy. They were brought to CCS from a hoarding situation, so they've been around other cats before, and would do fine if there was already a cat in the home. Being shy, Charlie and Miguel need a calm and peaceful home where they can feel safe. Charlie does NOT care for children so it will need to be a child free environment. These cute guys need a person or a couple who can give them lots of patience and love...it's sure to help them with their shyness so they can thrive!

Early morning tee time at Evergreen was delayed just a little due to the snowstorm earlier in the week! Lucky golfers to be able to play here!

We met our goal of golfers for the event, and also had great participation for our sponsorships. Thank you all for your support, and we are so glad everyone had a good time playing and mingling. The cats thank you!
Santa Paws Festival 2020
Saturday, Dec. 5

Our beloved Santa Paws Festival will go on as usual this coming holiday season, with just a few changes. We will not have the holiday market. However, we will still feature a craft fair, a bake sale of scrumptious homebaked treats, and a jewelry boutique. There will also be a raffle with a cat basket, and a combined dog and cat basket for those who have both. We are asking talented craftsmen and bakers to plan their contributions for this event which is one of our big fundraisers for the cats. Please contact amartin@catcaresociety.org with any questions.
"Wear Something Powerful"
Fundraiser Sponsored
by FM

The owner of FM, a t-shirt company in Denver, is both a DJ and a cat lover. His company has created the "Wear Something Powerful" campaign as a fundraiser for the Cat Care Society. These featured t-shirts are monogrammed with "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life. " This was a hit song back in the 80's which has quite a story behind it. Read More.

The phrase "wear something powerful" may speak to many of us as we struggle with these difficult times. All the proceeds from the purchase of these t-shirts will benefit the cats at our shelter. No matter how troubled the times, we can still help animals in need of care and feel better because of it. Please click here to purchase the t-shirts. Thank you to FM and to you, our supporters!
