Dear Cienega Families,

Happy New Year!

Second semester promises to be very busy for both our staff and students.

Please encourage our seniors to remain strong with keeping their grades up, completing their Senior Exit Project, and finalizing their college and career planning. Before we know it, graduation will be upon us.

Our 2021 Graduation Commencement planning committee is busy making arrangements and working out details for our upcoming ceremony.  I will share additional details in regards to the 2021 Graduation Commencement that will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 as we get closer to that date.  We are excited about this final semester of the 20-21 school year and we want to be sure every single one of our seniors is a part of this amazing celebration.

As our seniors are making plans for after graduation, our freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be choosing their classes for next year. Pre-registration begins January 29th. The Course Selection Handbook will be finalized and available on the counselor link of our website the week of registration, and your student will be bringing home a course selection form for you to look through and sign. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s counselor if you have any questions regarding graduation requirements and suggested courses.

Lastly, thank you for your tax credit donations! Even during the pandemic our extra-curricular programs and clubs have received many tax credit contributions in the last few weeks. We truly appreciate your continued support!

Sincerely,

Kim Middleton

ACT Prep

For Juniors, it’s time to start preparing to take the ACT test. It is recommended that you and your student log onto the websites of College/Universities of interest to see the desired ACT score. Once you have that in mind, find a date and location that works best for your student and sign up. All Juniors will be registered to take the ACT test this Spring at no cost. However, if students would like an additional opportunity to test, there are several locations for ACT testing in Tucson.

For only $40, your child can attend three prep courses Reading/English, Mathematics, and Science. Students can make their payment and pick up materials in the bookstore. Please email Mrs. Greene to reserve a spot!
