Juror for the 2020 Young Artist Award
Jorunn Veiteberg has greatly influenced the field of art jewelry as a craft historian, curator, lecturer, guest professor, head of arts at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, writer, and editor-in-chief of the Norwegian arts and craft magazine
Beyond that, she has assembled a collection of contemporary jewelry by the likes of Liv Blåvarp, Sigurd Bronger, David Bielander, Caroline Broadhead, Jing Yang, Lisa Walker, Hilde De Decker, Gésine Hackenberg, Lucy Sarneel, Bernhard Schobinger, and many others. In 2018, the Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum displayed 300 pieces from her collection in the exhibition
These Are a Few of Her Favourite Things.
Veiteberg belongs to the 10-member Norwegian Cultural Council, served as a jury member for Danner-Preis and Talente, and was the juror for Schmuck 2014. She now brings her appraising eye to the 2020 AJF Young Artist Award. “Small objects can deal with big issues,” says Veiteberg.
